English born Joe Elliot is the lead vocalist of rock band, Def Leppard. No stranger to the music business, Elliot was also the lead singer of a David Bowie tribute band and a Mott the Hoople cover band. As well as singing, Elliot also plays, guitar, keyboard and drums!

Frontman of heavy metal band, Skid row from 1987 to 1996, Sebastian Bach is one of the most famous glam metal dudes around. A man of all trades, Bach eventually went solo, as well as starring on Broadway and a random recurring role on teen drama, Gilmore Girls.

Vince Neil joined Mötley Crüe as their lead vocalist after running into high school friend, Tommy Lee in 1980. Known for their crazy antics on and off the stage, the band were one of the first to bring glam and metal together, with Neil the driving force.

Las Vegas-native Mark Slaughter started singing with Xcursion before becoming the second vocalist for the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. After only one album he left the Vinnie Vincent Invasion, taking with him bassist Dana Strum, ending that band. Slaughter and Strum formed the core of the band Slaughter, quickly capitalizing on Mark’s good looks, charisma, and, most of all, his ability to hit extremely high notes.
4. Dee Snider – Twisted Sister
Dee Snider is one of the most famous figure heads in glam metal, as well as being the lead vocalist of glam metal band, Twisted Sister. One of the first to emphasise the long blond hair that is so often seen in metal, Snider was also known for his eye shadow and bright red lipstick.

No stranger to heavy metal, the English born David Coverdale was the lead singer of Deep Purple, before fronting Whitesnake in the late 70s. Whitesnake, who are one of the most famous hard rock bands to have ever existed, are still going strong today despite a number of hiccups along the way.

Inarguably the greatest frontman of the entire 80s Rock scene, blond-haired, blue-eyed, sensitive Jani Lane could have any woman he wanted, so he pursued the hottest model of the time, Bobbie Brown, the “Cherry Pie Girl” whom he got to star in the video for Warrant’s biggest hit, “Cherry Pie,” as part of his wooing of her. Lane remains the epitome of 80s Glam Metal Guys, the pinnacle heartthrob from the time of hundreds of heartthrobs in tight leather pants.
